Life is falling to pieces: an illustrated journal

Life tends to suck if you let it. An illustrated journal about the way I've totally screwed up my life and (hopefully) how I'm going to get myself out of it.

Entry #39 Apparently, This Blog Is Good :P

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Seriously though, anyone who found this blog via "The Bestest Blog of the Day website," welcome! Whither you find something interesting writen here or not is up to you, but you are welcome to browse through my entries at your leisure. If you do decide to stay around and kill time by reading, try to start at the begining, since it sorta explains whats been kinda going on and why I write/draw this blasted thing to begin with.

Blogger is great, although I've found that the Livejournal version of this blog (same posts, just two different places) has a much easier interface for reading consecutive archived entries in order. For your reading convience, I include the link here.

Well, I guess thats all I gotsa say for right now. Enjoy!

Hi Serena! I love this blog. It's so original and creative - thankyou for sharing your brilliant drawings with us. I'm so bad at drawing its pathetic and I'm jealous of people who can draw.

Keep on making me jealous, gorgeous! This blog is great.

Sweet Blog.
I'm doing about the same thing as you. No one in my life knows about mine either. It's a nice outlet.

Also, QC rocks my bobby socks!

Serena,

I love both your illustrations and the way that your blog is laid out with them. A very nice approach to blogging.

Congratulations on being named Bestest Blog...

Your's is the most original form I've seen on blogger yet. As someone who has trouble drawing a decent stick person, I like the sketches you put on here.

The whole page-out-of-the-diary look is pretty spiffy.

Dear Serena,

I would first like to say that I don't really enjoy reading blogs much...takes too much of my time.

However, I was so totally impressed with your blog format, illustrations, and life events that I COULD NOT stop reading!

I noticed a central theme in all your entries that I wanted to comment on: You are way too hard on yourself. You are an extremely talented person. If you can't get done what "needs to be done" because you're too busy playing with all that talent, then maybe the "talented you" is trying to tell "you" something about what "needs to be done." You should pursue doing those things that come SO-O-O-O-O-O-O-O naturally to you, and don't force yourself into a mold that doesn't fit.

By the way, it takes a good bit of intelligence to be so talented.

Did I say I was impressed? ;)

I absolutely love your drawings. I have to admit that I scrolled through the whole page looking at the pictures before I actually started reading anything :)

Congratulations on your celebrity, however fleeting. I suspect that yours will be a recurring fame.

I will pray that you will find the strength to be the person you desire to become, however, as the reluctant reader pointed out, you should enjoy swimming in the sea of your talent as you grow into your future self.

Bestest Blog indeed!

Congrats on the accolades! I really like your illustrations. I'm greeeen with envy at your drawing skill. Do you have a DeviantArt.com or Flickr account or something where you display your work? I'd like very much to see more!

Your scanning text and images from black ink is a cool idea. Black ink takes well to the bright monitor light.

Yes, I did find you through Bestest Blogs of the Day and I can see why you won. This is a cool format, one I could never use though. My drawing is restricted to very bad stick men and my students know full well why I could never be a caligrapher. Thank goodness for keyboards.

Forgive the self reference, but I thought your "Can you feel the love?" comment at the bottom is apropos - my post for tomorrow morning is about secrets in relationships - so it made me smile.

Enjoyable blog!
